Listening in Healthcare Settings: New Perspectives on Challenges and Opportunities
A one-day Listening program for healthcare professionals, their patients, and caregivers. Wednesday June 20, only 9:30am – 5:00pm
Tentative Healthcare Program.pdf available now.
You are welcome to register for this one day pre-convention event, and/or for the ILA International Convention. You may attend as an ILA member or non-member. See links to register on the side bar to the left.
As consultation time shrinks, biomedical knowledge expands, and technology continually changes, do you have the Listening skills to make your limited time count? Learn how Listening helps us give and receive better information, build stronger relationships, while caring for ourselves and our colleagues. This blend of presentations, experiential learning, and discussion from various viewpoints will enrich your understanding and practice of Listening in healthcare settings. Refine your skills. Develop new perspectives on challenges and opportunities in healthcare interactions.
Register now for this one-day workshop June 20, 2018, and/or add this professional and personal development experience to your Listening Beyond Boundaries ILA convention June 21-23. Your registration for this one-day event includes coffee breaks and a buffet lunch. Please notice: If you register after June 6, you may not be able to join us for the buffet lunch. We must submit our dining reservations on that date. We have people registering from all over the world, and places are limited. Your reservation is not confirmed until payment is received. Please complete your reservation to pay and secure your participation. We will reserve your place as soon as we receive payment of your fees.
Your registration fee includes a buffet lunch as well as morning and afternoon coffee breaks. Since we have to guarantee the number of meals in advance, on-site registrants will be asked to wait until other convention participants are seated before we can invite you to join us for lunch.
We can suggest a range of accommodation options to suit various budgets and tastes. You chose where you want to stay, how much to pay, and how you want to book. Your choices include: Trinity College on campus accommodations, hotels, large and small, as well as airbnb apartments and cottages. Trinity College accommodations offer a variety of relatively low-cost dorm rooms and apartments you can reserve. Smaller than hotel rooms, these accommodations have some hotel amenities. Please refer to the Lodging Page.
One word of advice, book your lodging early! June is prime tourist season in Dublin.
